better than gelatine
I tried it out because I am serving a vegan luncheon. This rose tomato aspic was made with 1/2 tsp of agar agar with 3/4 cup of Trader Joe's low sodium garden patch juice - first dissolving the agar agar in 1/4 of it and then adding the rest and cooking it on a low boil for 2 minutes. I then added 1/4 c of almond milk - it could actually use even less of the agar agar - sets quite well.

You may need more then you think
I used this to make vegan marshmallows. And omg did it work amazingly as a gelatin substitute. Very excited as this was my first time using agar agar powder.

Fine agar product.
I used it to grow cultures in petri dishes, works well.

Works great!
Works great for vegan cheese and vegan jello! I puréed fruit and then mixed it with agar agar to make jello! It did not work well when making homemade almond milk yogurt but it may just be my measurements. Will definitely purchase again.

Great stuff
This stuff is really cool. Bought it to make my own healthy jello. You just add the powder to boiling water and it will set in the fridge. I add fresh fruits to mine. You can also add those crystal light packets for more flavor. Much cheaper and healthier than buying real jello.

Works
It's good agar agar. Coconut cheese turning out perfect. The bigger bag is more economical for me and I keep it in the fridge for freshness.

Great vegan substitute for gelatin
I've been vegan for 8 years now and love to bake. I bought this to use in place of gelatin to make flan last week. Served the flan to 3 non-vegans and they had no idea it was vegan. Highly recommend this product.
